Personal Bio
My name is Aashika Ingersal and I am a senior at Heritage High School in Frisco, Texas. I am currently taking part in the Independent Study and Mentorship program at my school where I am studying criminal law. I aspire to be a criminal justice attorney and have taken many courses, such as debate and court systems and practices, to help me reach my goal. In addition, I have been developing my leadership and professional skills as the principal flute and flute section leader in band and being in the Business Professionals of America organization, in which I have placed at the national level. One of my most important values is service and I emulate that with my work as president of the Heritage HS H.E.A.T. club, tutoring over the summer, and volunteering at the Doberman Rescue of North Texas. I cannot wait to begin my journey into the field of criminal law and see where life takes me.
Mission Statement
My mission is to further my understanding of the legal field and advance my professional communication skills. Through both research and firsthand experience under the guidance of a mentor, I will gain insight into the realities of being a criminal lawyer so that I have a solid understanding of both the positive and negative elements of the profession. In the independent study program, I will push my limits and constantly challenge myself to improve my weaknesses while still developing my strengths. By conducting extensive research into the field of criminal law, I will prepare myself for the future I desire and will create an original product that embodies my passion and the progress I will make throughout the year. Through ISM, I will expand my knowledge, nurture my professional skills, and prepare for the future I intend for myself.
